Avocado Hummus Toast

The below recipe is a quick and easy lunch. Avocadoes contain monounsaturated fats, which support the memory and learning centers of the brain. Hummus, made from chick peas, contains the necessary vitamins and amino acids to support brain health. Sprinkle with flax seeds and you will get high levels of omega-3 fatty acids – essential for brain function! A tasty and quick lunch that is brain healthy is hard to beat!

Ingredients:

  • 1 slice whole grain bread
  • ½ avocado
  • 2 tbsp hummus
  • Pinch flax seeds (optional)

Directions:

Toast the slice of bread. Spread the hummus on and top with avocado. Sprinkle with flax seeds, if desired.
