3 Tasty Treats for a Healthy Halloween

“Healthy” and “Halloween.” Those two words don’t seem to fit together well unless you think back to that one neighbor when you were a kid that handed out raisins and toothbrushes to all the trick-or-treaters. The great news is that there are plenty of tasty treats you can whip up that will keep your Halloween healthy, and you won’t feel like you’re missing out at all. We’ve got three great ideas for you, and even the kids will get excited about them.

Monster Teeth
With these monster teeth you can create a spooky, tasty, and healthy snack with just four ingredients. Start with sliced apples, sprinkling them with lemon juice so they won’t brown. Spread peanut butter over an apple slice, top with yogurt covered berries or macadamia nuts, and then top with another apple slice spread with peanut butter to make it look like teeth. Chill in the refrigerator for an hour before you serve.

Turn oranges into mini jack-o-lanterns. Remove all the orange segments and save them, carve fun pumpkin faces into the oranges, then add diced fruit to the oranges and cover with the tops. Now you have adorable snack-o-lanterns that are packed with healthy fruit, yet they look so fun and festive for Halloween.

Ghost Banana Pops
Place banana halves on popsicle sticks. Then dip them in healthy dark chocolate. Allow the chocolate to set in the refrigerator or freezer. You can drizzle them with a bit of peanut butter drizzle and add tiny chocolate chips for eyes. They look so cute, and they’re a healthy snack that’ll get you in the Halloween mood.

You can find healthy ways to celebrate Halloween this year. Along with turning to healthy, tasty treats for the spooktacular holiday, don’t forget other measures to care for your health. Exercise, choose healthy meals, and don’t forget your Prevagen brain health supplement.
