  1. Leave the smartphone at home and go out to dinner.
  2. Turn your ringer to Do Not Disturb for an hour every day.
  3. Read an actual book or magazine, not a digital one.
  4. Create a gadget free zone (bedroom, patio, dining room).
  5. Every 45 minutes to an hour, step away from your screen or interface for 5-10 minutes.
